Happy New Year 2026

And just like that, here we are again. The first day of the year always brings the tradition of New Year's resolutions, and this time, mine is both simple and deeply meaningful: I want to fully immerse myself back into photography.

It was once a true  passion, my happy place; the creative space where I felt most connected to the world. But somehow, slowly and insidiously, that connection slipped away a few years ago. Year after year, the number of images I captured diminished, and with it went the urge, the need to step outside and actively chase the shifting light and shadows. That vital spark had simply gone out.

Today, I'm making a solid commitment to dedicate this new year to fully relight that passion. My first goal is to rediscover the joy of urban exploration, walking the streets and actively hunting for those fleeting, perfect moments to capture. I also plan to get much more active within the photography community, sharing ideas and techniques with fellow creative minds, whether at local meetups or on online forums. And, perhaps most surprisingly, I'm going to take the plunge into analogue photography experimentation.

Last but certainly not least, I'm facing a huge challenge: tackling the monumental collection of unedited images that has piled up on my hard drives. Years of raw shots, quietly forgotten, that I am finally determined to bring to life. Little by little, you'll start seeing them appear here on my blog, or perhaps in the wanderlust section of my website dedicated to travel.

The adventure starts now. To officially kick off this photographic year, I'm sharing a couple of images taken during the last few days of December, when Paris looked absolutely magnificent, bathed in cold, radiant winter light.

See you soon for more!
