March in black and white
These images are part of my 52 black and white project. One black and white image per week for the whole year of 2026.
It is now early May, and looking back at my photos from March makes me feel a bit nostalgic. March is one of my favorite months because my birthday is at the beginning of the month. When I was a child, it always felt so special. As I get older, there is less to celebrate, but I still try to be grateful for every year I have. I want to remember to keep that positive mindset for next year.
March was a wonderful month. I celebrated my birthday in Rome during a short trip with my family. It truly is the "Eternal City." The first photo shows a tram passing by; I love how the man on the left is looking straight at me. It’s almost a bit scary, but then the tram pulled away and he was gone.
The second photo is from a simple walk through my neighborhood. The third is of my son at his old school yard. We were able to go inside because the school was being used as a voting place for the Paris municipal elections.
The final image is of a grave in the Montmartre Cemetery. There was something so poetic about it that it really touched my heart.
