Around the world in 2026 - April challenge
In April, our international photography collaboration turned its focus towards a universal human experience: “How We Move.” This theme coincided perfectly with a trip back to my native Finland. It was a wonderful chance to look at the familiar streets of Helsinki with fresh eyes and document the transit systems that keep the city breathing.
Helsinki’s transport is incredibly diverse, and I wanted these nine images to reflect that variety. Whether it was the iconic green trams weaving through the streets, the modern lines of the metro, the bustling energy of the central railway station, or the ferry crossing to Suomenlinna, each mode of transport has its own rhythm and feel.
